Middle Tennessee beats Troy 65-64

TROY, Ala. (AP) - Kevin Kanaskie hit two free throws with four seconds left to help Middle Tennessee to a 65-64 win over Troy last night.

Troy (8-9, 1-5 Sun Belt Conference) pulled ahead 64-63 with 19 seconds to go on a pair of free throws by O'Darien Bassett. Then Justin Jonus was called on a foul under the basket, sending Kanaskie to the line for the game-winning shots.

Bassett led the Trojans with 25 points. Jonus added 13 more and Jarvis Acker chipped in with 12.

The Blue Raiders (7-9, 4-2 SBC) were led by Desmond Yates with 24 points and Demetrius Green added 14.
