MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Frank Tolbert finds himself in a familiar position -- several of them, in fact.
The Auburn guard/forward/center has been forced into multiple roles because of the Tigers' injury problems entering Thursday night's Southeastern Conference opener against Arkansas.
He is expected to be Auburn's shooting guard. But the 6-foot-4 Tolbert is also having to play both forward positions and fill in at point guard and center in his spare time. In other words, he does everything but hold a clipboard on the bench.
Tolbert insists that varied job description is no big deal, and nothing new. Coach Jeff Lebo said Tolbert has accepted the situation with aplomb.
The role adjustments were forced by injuries to forward Korvotney Barber and center Boubacar Sylla, leaving the Tigers (9-3) short of both depth and stature.
