13-year-old competes next to men three times his age

(Dothan, Al)--A talented 13-year-old Ty Cobb, competed in the United States Practical Shooting Association match Saturday at The Tri State Gun Club.

Cobb competed in six stages for fire and five field courses, and one for classified. Cobb has been practicing the sport from an early age.

“At four he started shooting practice target rifle that he accelerated at from four, five, six, seven, and by ten he handled a glock 19.9 mill proficiently enough we looked into the sport,” said Ty’s father, Shannon Cobb.

Next October, Cobb will join the Gatornationals Supersquad in Louisiana, where he will be compete with world champ Max Michele.
