CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson coach Tommy Bowden says linebacker Cortney Vincent is expected to start in the Tigers' bowl game despite his arrest on a drunken driving charge.
Vincent was pulled over early Sunday by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The junior was charged with first offense driving under the influence. He was detained for about eight hours and released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
Bowden says he will let the legal process run and then make a decision.
Vincent has 64 tackles and two sacks in 12 starts this season. Bowden says Vincent is practicing with the team. Fifteenth-ranked Clemson faces 22nd-ranked Auburn on December 31 in Atlanta.
