AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Freshman Ruth Ketchams scored 26 points to help lead Number 14 Auburn women's basketball team to a 99-47 win over Colgate Wednesday night.
Ketcham came off the bench with 13 points on 5-of-5 shooting in the first half. She was 10-of-12 shooting on the night.
Alli Smalley had 16 points off the bench for Auburn (9-0). Dewanna Bonner chipped in with 14 points and Sherrell Hobbs added 13. Whitney Boddie had five rebounds and eight assists and added six points for the Tigers.
Auburn's defense only allowed 10 points and forced 15 turnovers in the first half.
Colgate (1-8) fared better in the second half. Katie Garman finished with 10 points and three rebounds while Georgia Gier had five points and six rebounds.
Auburn had four scorers in double figures. Colgate gave up 36 points in the paint and finished with 26 turnovers.
The Tigers opened the game on a 19-0 run. It took nine minutes before Colgate scored its first basket.
