AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Two Auburn basketball stars will be on the bench when the season starts.
The Birmingham News reported on its Web site today that Josh Dollard will sit the season out for undisclosed medical reasons, and Quan Prowell has been suspended for at least six games.
Those two players also missed games last season when they were suspended for breaking an undisclosed team rule, the News reported.
According to the university Dollard, the Tigers' leading scorer and rebounder, is taking a redshirt year and will have two years of eligibility left.
Prowell has been suspended for violation of an undisclosed team rule.
Dollard averaged 12.5 points and seven rebounds a game last season. Prowell averaged 12 points and 5.3 rebounds a game.
