Powers not beating himself up over LSU game

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Jerraud Powers has gotten plenty of support from his Auburn teammates and coaches.

The cornerback was defending on the play when Demetrius Byrd caught the winning touchdown pass from Matt Flynn against LSU.

Coach Tommy Tuberville said there was no faulting Powers on the play.

Powers said he isn't beating himself up over the play, but he couldn't help imagine if it had gone another way. A deflection might have even allowed the final second to tick off the clock, or at least forced LSU to kick a field goal.

Powers said he spent the plane ride home picturing how everything would have happened if it went the other way. Auburn would have won.
