Tigers Brace for Vanderbilt

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers pulled off a major upset at Florida in their first road game building confidence and momentum and giving a nice little lesson on how it's done.

Vanderbilt was certainly paying attention leading up to Saturday's visit to the Tigers in a similar scenario.

After all, if Auburn (3-2, 1-1 SEC) can do it to 9th ranked Florida with strong defense and mistake-free offense, then why can't Vandy do it to Auburn?

It wouldn't be quite as big an upset since Vandy (3-1, 1-1) is only a touchdown underdog and rides a two-game winning streak into its first road trip. The Commodores have lost all 12 meetings since 1955.

Auburn's offense gets a boost with the return of tailback Brad Lester. He will make his season debut after serving an academics-related suspension.

The Tigers' passing game will face a big challenge. The Commodores rank second in the league in total defense and third against the pass and are tied with LSU for an SEC-best 10 interceptions.

Kickoff is 11:30 a.m. The game will be televised by Lincoln Financial Sports.
