Ho hum. It's business as usual for No. 1 Tide

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Nick Saban didn't even raise
his voice in the season's first news conference. The Crimson Tide
players dismiss their No. 1 ranking.

The initial week is shaping up to be business as usual for the
defending national champions.

Saban said Monday key returning stars are showing no signs of
complacency. He praised the "great camps" of Mark Ingram, Trent
Richardson, Julio Jones and James Carpenter.

Ingram, the Heisman Trophy winning tailback, says "No. 1 really
doesn't mean anything around here."

One big question mark heading into Saturday night's opener
against San Jose State is the status of defensive end Marcell
Dareus. Dareus is listed as the starter on the newly released depth
chart, but Alabama hasn't gotten the results from an NCAA
investigation into a Miami trip.
