Auburn, AL-"I thought we got a lot of accomplished today. We had a great chance to look at the young guys in a lot of ways today,'' said coach Gene Chizik.
"We've just got to know what our depth factor is going to be. When we scrimmage again, we'll probably do the same thing."
The scrimmage was closed to the media, but the word afterwards was that freshman receiver Trovon Reed had a big game.
"Trovon Reed did some really nice things,'' Chizik said.
Receivers coach Trooper Taylor mentioned Reed, fellow freshman Antonio Goodwin and sophomore Emory Blake as having good games.
The Wildcat offense produced points, including some from Reed. Kodi Burns accounted for at least one score. QB Barrett Trotter was involved in a touchdown. The score, the scoreboard said, was 42-42 in the complicated scoring system in which points are awarded to the defense for big plays.
