Alabama's tailback rotation a three-man show

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Terry Grant slept little Saturday night, replaying the loss to Georgia in his head and even dreaming about it.

The Alabama tailback said he kept thinking about how he would like to be on the field during crunch time.

Instead, it was Roy Upchurch running up the middle for two nice gains on Alabama's game-tying touchdown drive. And in overtime, the lone rush went to Glen Coffee.

Grant finished with 11 carries for 80 yards, both season-lows. Coffee logged a career-high 16 rushes and gained 62 yards.

Even Grant is still trying to get a handle on the Crimson Tide's tailback rotation.

The rotation may be hard to figure out at times, but the pecking order is clear: Grant, Coffee and Upchurch. Jimmy Johns, last year's backup, didn't have a carry in the game and only has 13 all season.

Coach Nick Saban said that the other three have all made good contributions to the team effors. He also said Upchurch could be in line for more playing time.
