DOTHAN, AL-The final day at the Future Masters for the 10 and under age division was one for the recordbooks.
The leader coming into day 2, Luke Sample, earned a two shot penalty on his first hole of the round. The penalty led Sample to double-bogie that hole. He finished plus 10 on his second day of play and just missed the top ten.
It was a tight race for first with the last group of the day coming into the 18th hole. Kevin Smith double bogied the home hole forcing a three way sudden death play-off for the top spot.
Liam Shinn, Jake Peacock and Kevin Smith prepped with Kevin Klein for the tie breaker round on the 18th. Kevin Smith ended up redeeming himself from his first go around. He putts for birdie earning him first place in the age division. Smith was happy to hear a sudden death round would take place on the hole that almost cost him a victory.
The tie for second between Jake Peacock and Liam Shinn was broken using the final round scorecard. It came down to the nitty gritty but Jake Peacock took second place putting Liam Shinn in the third spot.
