The Tanner Football Team is enjoying the best season in school history. The Rattlers are 14-0, but they're not the favorites entering this year's Class 2A State Championship Game.
Tanner will face top-ranked Elba on Friday afternoon in Tuscaloosa, with the 2A title on the line. The Rattlers feature a powerful offense, and an even better defense which allows just over 10 points per game.
But, Tanner knows they haven't seen anything close to the firepower Elba will bring to the table on Friday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
"We've got to be sound, and tackle well," Tanner Head Coach LaRon White said. "They've got two guys that are very fast, so you can't go out there and miss tackles. They're going to break it for a long one. Just tackle well, gang tackle and everybody run to the football, and we'll be fine."
Tanner will face Elba for the 2A Championship on Friday at 3:00 p.m. This is the only match-up at this year's Super Six featuring two undefeated teams.
