The Geneva Football Team has a new head coach. The Panthers have hired Donnie Chesteen to turn their struggling program around.
Chesteen comes to Geneva from just up the road in Samson, where he coached the Tigers for the past two years. He quickly turned around a struggling Samson program, leading the team to a 10-10 record during his two-year tenure.
Chesteen replaces Jeff Williams, who resigned after five seasons as Panthers Head Coach. Geneva went 2-8 this past season, losing seven straight games at one point. Williams posted a 22-29 record during his five-year run with the Panthers.
Chesteen also has Geneva ties, serving previously as an assistant and head coach at the school. Chesteen is also a State Representative.
