It's official. Enterprise High School is searching for a new Head Football Coach. The City School Board unanimously accepted the resignation of Kevin Collins on Monday.
Collins emailed his letter of resignation prior to the Wildcats season finale against Charles Henderson last Friday, a game Enterprise won 24-17. His resignation letter stated the team had not reached his standards, and stated he was at fault.
Now, the search is underway for the Wildcats new coach. Enterprise Principal Matt Rodgers says the school should be a very attractive job for coaches to consider.
"We are already at work trying to find the very best candidate, the very best coach for Enterprise High School," Rodgers said. "We do feel like we have a lot to offer. We've got a great community, great support, a great school and a a great school system.
"We do believe that we're going to be able to attract not only some of the top candidates in the state, but throughout the southeast."
Collins coached Enterprise for seven seasons, leading the team to a 44-32 record. Enterprise missed the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.
