One of the state's newest star high school football players -- Opp's Denzel Ware, a transfer from Crestview, Fla. -- has committed to Kentucky.

Opp coach Jack Whigham confirmed the commitment today, and 247Sports reported it earlier in the week.

Ware, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound defensive end, had originally committed to Florida State, but he apparently plans to follow Kentucky's Mike Stoops to Kentucky. Stoops left Florida State for Kentucky earlier this year.
