LeBrian Stewart is very familiar with Northview. He was an assistant football coach for the Cougars in 2007-08.
After three years as an assistant at state powerhouse Prattville, Stewart is returning to Northview as the Cougars Head Football Coach and Athletic Director.
He takes over a program that hasn't posted a winning season since 2007, when Stewart was an assistant. Northview hasn't made the playoffs since 2000, and hasn't won a playoff game since 1994.
Stewart replaces Wayne White, who was fired last year, after three seasons as Cougars head coach. White went 7-23 during his three-year tenure. The Cougars haven't won a region game since 2009.
