Northview High School has a new head football coach at athletic director. The Dothan City School Board has approved the hiring of LeBrian Stewart for both positions.
Stewart comes to Northview from Prattville, where he was an assistant on Jamey Dubose's staff. He helped the Lions win the 2011 Class 6A State Championship. Dubose left Prattville last week to become the new head coach at Florence High School.
Stewart replaces Wayne White, who was fired last year after three seasons as the Cougars head coach. He takes over a team that went 7-23 under White. Northview hasn't been to the playoffs since the 2000 season.
