Kinston Wins FNF Trophy

How about this stat, Kinston has never won four straight games, never. They have now thanks to a 30-22 win over Geneva County last week. That is more than good enough to earn the Bulldogs the Crown Trophy Friday Night Football Team of the Week Award.

Jason Wambles' crew is likely on its way to a playoff berth. That would be its first postseason appearance since 2001.

There’s still some work to do until they lock up a playoff spot. But Wambles has to be pleased with their 4-2 start.

Kinston has a tough task this week paying a visit to 6-0 McKenzie tomorrow night.

We are so proud of the coaching staff, players, and community for the turn around in the program in such a short period of time. Its amazing how young men respond to a coach that cares and puts every bit of his time into making our program respectable and something to be proud of. Thanks again guys. Friday nights are much more exciting in Kinston now. Big game tonight at Mckenzie. They are a very good team. Go play hard!
