The Houston Academy Football Team faces one of the toughest road trips in the state on Friday night. The Raiders will visit Elba in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.

The Tigers are ranked number one in Class 2A, and they've been on a tear down the back stretch of the season. Elba has scored 80, 75, 69, 65, 63 and 39 points over the past six weeks.

The Tigers defense has been equally tough, holding all ten of it's opponents this season to 15 points or less. So, the Raiders know they're in for a battle at Mack Wood Field on Friday night.

"Speed," HA Head Coach Jimmy Addison said. "I mean, they've got speed all over the field. They're really physical and extremely well coached. You wouldn't expect anything other than that from a coach (Scott) Rials team.

"They're seasoned and they're veterans in the playoffs, so there won't be any surprises for them."

Elba will host Houston Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night.
