It didn't take long for coach David Faulkner to make an impression on his new team...especially offensive lineman John Money.
"First thing he said when he walked in, he told us to sit up straight, so I knew he was all about business and he was ready to get started."
Faulkner held a team meeting yesterday afternoon where he discussed the future of Enterprise football.
"Yesterday in the meeting during flex block, he talked about the 5 pillars of success," Tight End Clark Quisenberry said.
"He said the keys to succeeding were focus, leadership, discipline, belief and expectation," running back Carlos Robinson said.
"He said basically that was your ticket," Money said, "if you follow that plan then everything else will just fall into place,"
The new enterprise coach also talked about priorities to his players, and stressed the importance of performing well in the classroom as well as on the football field.
"Just come prepared every day," Quisenberry said. "He said don't sleep in class...come and do what you're supposed to do at school. Just be a really good student, and he preached that because grades come first."
After this meeting, players are excited about the change and look forward to the upcoming season
"I'm just really excited," Quisenberry said. "He got me pumped up for football season and I'm ready to play for him."
"I wish it was already here," Money said. "I'm ready to play and get started in practice, I know it's going to be a lot of work, but it'll be worth it."
