Elba's top player will stay in-state to play his college football. Michael Lindsey has signed a letter of intent to play at Troy.
Lindsey led Elba to the Class 2A State Championship as a senior, scoring four touchdowns in the title game, earning MVP honors. He was a finalist for 2A Back of the Year.
He'll join fellow wiregrass star Brandon Burks from Daleville with the Trojans next season. Lindsey is expected to play slot receiver for Troy.
