Elba, AL- On a light practice Thursday where lineman warm up by attempting field goals , and linebackers practice fly routes. The Elba Tigers practiced something they hope to do towards the end of the season.

Lifting a trophy.

The Elba tigers have been one of the powerhouses in our area this season. The tigers knocked off New Brockton last week 40-to-20.

With the Tigers' win over the gamecocks, they improve to 8-0 on the season. The tigers have now won 21 straight regular season games. Elba has also locked up the class 2-a, region two title.

New Brockton actually jumped out to a lead on the tigers last week, but just couldn't hold on in the second half.

"We came out in the third quarter and Lindsey ran the second half kickoff back and it was kind of like that snowball going downhill. we just had a few good things happen for us and scored three or four touchdowns really fast that's just the way things go sometimes you get good breaks and we had them."

Elba will have a big match-up against fellow unbeaten Cottonwood next week.

But first things first Elba plays its home finale tomorrow against Red Level.
