The Elba Football Team has arrived in Tuscaloosa. Now, all that's left is to play the biggest game the school has seen in nearly 20 years.
Elba will face Tanner for the Class 2A State Championship at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Friday. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m.
It's been 19 years since Elba last won a state title in football. And, the team knows how special it would be to bring home the hardware to Coffee County with a win over the Rattlers on Friday.
"It would be... I don't know if I could even describe it in words," Elba Head Coach Scott Rials said. "I know, since I've been here, we've been through a lot. Our town has. Our people have really hung together and stuck with us. It's been, just, awesome."
Elba's game will Tanner will follow the 4A Title Game between Jackson and Oneonta, which kicks off at 11:00 a.m. The Super Six wraps up on Friday night with the 6A Championship Game between Prattville and Hoover.
