Chipley is hoping to punch it's ticket to the Class 1A State Championship Game on Friday. The Tigers will visit Northview-Bratt in the 1A Semifinals, setting up a rematch with a team Chipley beat earlier this year.
But, the Chiefs have been on a roll of late, winning six of their past seven games, including blowout wins over Wewahitchka and Freeport in the playoffs.
And, this game will come in the western panhandle, so the Tigers know they'll face a serious test on Friday night. But, it's a challenge the team is looking forward to.
"It's a real exciting time for the kids, the school and the community to still be playing football this time of year," Head Coach Rob Armstrong said. "I mean we're fired up about it, but we also know what kind of challenge we have got in front of us this Friday night. They've got a great football team, and having to get on the bus and ride over there, we've got to be ready to go."
Chipley will visit Northview-Bratt on Friday, with the winner advancing to face either Jefferson County or Union County for the 1A Title.
