Chipley Braces for Jefferson County Offense

The Chipley Football Team has faced it's share of tough opponents this year. But, the Tigers have saved their biggest test for last.

Chipley will play Jefferson County in the Class 1A Championship Game on Friday night in Orlando. Jefferson County beat top-ranked Union County to earn it's spot at the Citrus Bowl.

The Tigers aren't surprised by Jefferson County's run to the final, especially when they watch film of J-C's offense in action.

"They like to get in the "I" and run the power and the outside zone play, but also, the quarterback has thrown for 1,800 yards," Chipley Head Coach Rob Armstrong said. "That's kind of the dilemma you're in. You put everybody up there and stop the great tailback, or try to cover these guys who are great athletes with a quarterback who doesn't miss."

Chipley and Jefferson County will meet for the 1A Title on Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Orlando.
