Pike Liberal Arts linebacker Nick McGlaughlin has been named the AISA Lineman of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association.
McGlaughlin had 119 tackles and three sacks this past season. He topped 100 tackles in each of his four seasons with the Patriots.
Elba's Michael Lindsey and Eufaula's Maurice Crews were also up for awards, but neither won. Lindsey was nominated for 2A Back of the Year, while Crews was up for 5A Back of the Year.
