FAYETTE, Ala. (AP) - Fayette County High School coach Waldon
Tucker could go into the record books with a win by his Tigers on
Friday night against Hayleville.

Tucker is tied with Glenn Daniel for the most victories by a
high school football coach in Alabama - at 302.

Tucker is in his 37th season, 27 of them at Fayette. His other
wins came at the helm of Gordo.

Daniel compiled his 302 victories over 37 seasons at Pine Hill
and Luverne, most of them at Luverne.

Tucker won one state championship at Gordo and one at Fayette
County.

He tells The Tuscaloosa News that setting the record will make
him proud for all the players and coaches who have been with him
over the years.
