The Dothan Tigers clawed their way into the playoffs last season in their second year under Head Coach Kelvis White. Now in 2010, the Tigers are hungry to get back to the playoffs and this time do some damage. News-4's Patrick Claybon reports.
2009 was a good year to be a Tiger. They had some real highlights including a record breaking win in a shootout against Opelika. But, many pieces of that offense are gone, and the Tigers look to youngsters to fill in the spots.
In his third year at Dothan, Kelvis White says filling in those spots should be easier than in the past, now that he's been around some guys on this team since 9th grade.
The loss to state runner-up Prattville in the playoffs left the remaining tigers hungry for a win in the second season this time around. White says that's a big motivator for the season.
Dothan opens the season Thursday August 26th at Jeff Davis in Montgomery.
