Rams Seek Winning Season

1988. That was the last year the Headland Rams had a winning record. Since that season, they haven't won more than five games in any season.

There's a new coach trying to turn things around in headland. Micah Johnson takes over the post vacated by Donnie Smith in the spring. Johnson was an assistant on the squad that went 4-6 a year ago.

Johnson says he has the players in place to get some things accomplished. 18 starters return for 20-10.

Headland opens up against former coach Donnie Smith at Dale County on Friday, August 27th.

I love Headland, the people are great. But, I moved here as an adult, when I was growing up and we had a game against Headland, we always had an easy practice week. Why? Because we always knew we would win and did. Now my children attend Headland School system and I hope the football team improves. But, I doubt it will happen. Headland is growing though, maybe the influx of new blood will bring better athletes, LOL!
