The next stop on our Friday Night Football preview tour is in Hartford. The Geneva County Bulldogs are starting the season with a new coach and hoping to make a repeat trip to the Class 1A playoffs.

Jeff Caldwell takes over for Darren Stewart who resigned in the spring. Caldwell inherits a Bulldogs' squad that went 7-4 last season, including a 5-2 mark in region play.

The Dogs did lose a couple of all-state players to graduation. Caldwell has been coaching in Georgia for a couple of decades and he's getting set for his Alabama debut. Many of his players will be *new* to the field.

Geneva County opens its schedule at Wicksburg Friday, August 27th.
