Ariton, AL- The one obvious thing missing from the Ariton purple cats team in 2010 is going to be their big time does everything guy Craig Sanders.
The big guy is now trying to put on weight to see if he can impact the football world Saturdays for the Auburn Tigers.
So where does that leave his high school squad? The purple cats finished 2009 at 3-7 and hope to improve on that this year.

Sanders was a vital part of the offense and the defense in Ariton and so while his are some big shoes to fill, coach Rudy Free says stylistically the cats can do just fine without him.

“Last year in the last couple of games teams really stacked the box against us to try to put more pressure on Craig.” Said Free “ And I really think we threw the ball better and moved it well, so I’m hoping that can carry on to this year”

The Purple Cats kick off the season on the 27th against Kinston.
