Samson Tigers 2010 Preview

Samson, ALTonight we go out west in our continuing mission to explore all the high school football teams we know and love in the Wiregrass

The Tigers out in Samson would have liked to have had a better season last year.

The past is just that, it's now the past and on to 2010 and Coach Donnie Chesteen says they're taking the necessary steps to make improvement.

The Tigers started out with a win in 2009 but things did not end well as they finished the season only averaging 11 points a game on offense, but allowing their opponents to score at an alarming clip of 30 points a game.

Coach Chesteen says it's all about rebuilding from the ground up.

“They’re inexperienced so there's a lot of tough work ahead of us but the kids that we have are working hard and I think if we have some success early it can go a long way to turning this thing around and get it in the right direction”

The tigers open up against Florala in Florala on Friday, august 27th
Tonight we will stay in Geneva county as we go back up 52 to look at the Geneva panthers.
