Huntsville Principal Kisses Pig to Fulfill Promise

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Students at Huntsville school were so
eager to see their principal kiss a pig they began reading fast.
WHNT-TV reports (http://bit.ly/vDVuKn) that Academy for
Academics and Arts principal Anne Jobe promised to kiss a pig if
students at her school read 500 books.
On Friday she fulfilled her promise, kissing a tiny black pig on the snout to the cheers of her students.
Everyone at the school thought it would take the students a full
year -- or at least a semester -- to meet the goal. But they
surprised the faculty by reading 500 books in a month and a half.
