CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are reporting numerous injuries - but no deaths - after a school bus carrying dozens of high school students crashed into a tree.

The accident occurred Monday afternoon in the Gadsden County town of Chattahoochee, close to the Georgia border.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Ken Ellis says 41 students from West Gadsden High School were on the bus when the driver lost control. The driver and two students were airlifted in critical condition to a Tallahassee hospital, and six other students were taken by ambulance. The rest of the students were taken to a Chattahoochee hospital.

Ellis says no other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the accident was under investigation.
