1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup chocolate chips
-Mix butter, egg, sugar, and vanilla until creamy
-Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix
-Cover dough and refrigerate 1 hour
-Preheat oven to 325
-Roll dough into “fingers”, place on ungreased pan.
-With knife, slice “knuckles” onto fingers
- Place slice almond on tip of finger as “fingernail”
-Bake 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool.
-Melt jam and chocolate chips in saucepan on low.
-Dip finger tips in melted jam.
NOTE: If fingers spread too thick, make finger sandwich cookies!
