Ouida's Ripe Tomato Jam

Ingredients

4 lbs. ripe tomatoes
4 cups sugar
2 cups vinegar
1/2 tbsp. broken cinnamon stick
1 tsp. whole cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice

Directions

Peel tomatoes and cut into quarters. Put into a large boiler and add all other ingredients.
Cook until thick; simmer until thick about 1 hr and 45 minutes.
Very good with meats, ham, beef, or hamburgers.
