Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups oil
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla

    Glaze:
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    Directions

    Mix all ingredients with mixer.

    Pour into 2 large greased pans.

    Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

    Glaze:
    Mix ingredients well.

    Allow bread to cool about three minutes. Pour glaze over warm loaves.
