Cheese Crispies



  • 2 sticks real butter, softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½-3/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (I use Gold Medal)
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal


    Beat together the butter, cheese, salt and pepper.

    Remove beaters. Using hands, work in flour and cereal.

    Shape into 1 inch balls. Flatten with a fork- criss cross- like a peanut butter cookie.

    Bake on un-greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven till golden on bottom side. (Don’t let it get too brown as rice crispies will burn.)
