1 (8 oz.) mild cheddar cheese
1 stick margarine
1 3/4 cup self-rising flour
1 (8 oz.) medium cheddar cheese
1/8 tsp. hot cayenne pepper
5 drops of hot sauce
1. Melt margarine in microwave. Add grated cheese to margarine and mix well.
2. Add red pepper and hot sauce to cheese mixture. Work into cheese mixture. Add flour and knead like biscuits. Put part of the dough into a cookie press and pack evenly.
3. Press out on a cookie sheet. Each cheese straw should be about 2 1/4 inches in length.
4. Bake at 325 degrees until the cheese straws are slightly brown. Place on wax paper and cool. Makes 6 dozen.
