3 cups self-rising flour
½ cup fruit
½ cup sugar
1 stick butter
½ cup buttermilk
Combine flour and sugar.
Cut in butter until it resembles course meal.
Add fruit, then buttermilk.
Stir all ingredients until moistened and form a soft ball.
Turn out on a floured surface and pat out to 1 inch thickness.
Cut with a biscuit cutter.
Bake on a greased baking pan for 10 to 12 minutes at 400 degrees.
