Dianne’s Egg Custard

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup eggs (5 or 6 eggs)
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • Nutmeg
  • 1 deep dish pie crust

    Directions

    1. Place sugar, milk and eggs in a large mixing bowl and beat well. (The more you whip the eggs the lighter the pie will be).



    2. Pour egg mixture into unbaked pie crust. Chop the butter into tiny bits and place on the top of the egg mixture.



    3. Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake in 375 degree oven approximately 45 minutes or until firm. Chill and serve.
