Baked Pork Chops with Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 - 6 pork chops
  • 3 large potatoes, sliced
  • 2 or 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 ½ cups milk or water
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • Flour, oil, salt and pepper




    Directions

    1.) Stir. Lightly brown flour. Remove from heat, add tomatoes. Stir in milk or water. Put on low heat. Stir until thickened. Pour over pork chops, potatoes and onions.

    2.) Salt and pepper lightly flour pork chops. Place oil, 3 -4 tablespoons in bottom of baking dish.

    3.) Lay sliced onions and potatoes on top of pork chops. Cover with foil.

    4.) Bale at 375 degrees for about 1 hour, or until done. Remove from baking dish.

    5.) Pour drippings into large skillet.

    6.) Add about 3 tablespoons oil to skillet.

    7.) Wash, peel and mash tomatoes, set aside.

    8.) Put 2 or 3 tablespoons flour in skillet.

    9.) Add pinch of salt and pepper.
