Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn meal
  • 1 cup flour (self rising)
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • Milk
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 stick butter, melted

    Directions

    1. Sift meal, flour and baking powder together. Add oil, 3 eggs, salt and
    enough milk to make a soft batter.



    1. Bake in greased pan in 450 degree oven until done. Cool. Crumble this bread into large pan.



    3. Combine the following ingredients and add to bread mixture. Bake in 375 degree preheated oven for about 1 hour: chicken broth, large onions, chopped, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, eggs, lightly beaten, and stick butter, melted.
