- Pot of strong, hot, black, coffee
- Whipping cream, lightly whipped
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 shot Irish whiskey or Scotch
Warm glasses or mugs with hot water. Into each glass or mug put 2 teaspoons sugar and 1 shot (2 ounces) whiskey or Scotch. Fill each mug with hot coffee by placing a spoon into the mug and pouring coffee onto spoon( to keep from breaking the glass). Using the same spoon, curved side up, pour the cold cream slowly over the spoon. Do not stir; cream should float on top.
