Peanut Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze Cake



1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup self rising flout
1 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup milk
1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 cup homemade peanut butter
1/4 cup roasted peanuts (chopped)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Glaze:
8 oz semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3 Tbsp homemade peanut butter
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/2 cup milk


Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Grease & flour 3- 9" cake pans
Cream shortening and vanilla. Add sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. beating well after each addition. Add peanut butter. Add flour and milk alternately. Pour mix into pans and bake for 25 minutes.

Frosting: Beat cream cheese and margarine until smooth. Add peanut butter, mix well. Add confectioners sugar a little at a time, mix in milk. beat until smooth. Stir in peanuts. Frost cake.

In double boiler combine all ingredients except milk. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat , add milk. Use while warm. Pour on frosted cake. Sprinkle with peanuts.
