Annie Dent's Cream Cheese Pound Cake


3 sticks butter or margarine
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups cake flour 1/2 tsp. salt

1 stick butter or margarine
1 8 oz. cream cheese
3 1/2 cups confection sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 tsp. vanilla


Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beat well, add cream cheese and vanilla and beat well.
Sift flour and salt three times. Blend into creamed mixture. Spoon batter into a well greased, floured tube pan.
Bake for 1hour 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Let cool before frosting.

Mix ingredients well and spread on cake.
