Hundreds of angry union employees packed Tallahassee Tuesday, calling on lawmakers not to proceed with bills targeting unions.
Members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees filled the first three floors of the capitol. They sang "we shall overcome" and chanted union slogans.
They're upset with a series of bills they say would diminish the power of unions, including one banning the government from deducting union dues from public workers' paychecks.
The protestors also oppose legislation that would force public employees to contribute to their pensions.
