Florida Governor Rick Scott's approval ratings have taken a hit since he took office in January.
The republican says despite that, he isn't backing down from his agenda, saying it's all part of following through on his campaign promises.
"Everybody knows what exactly I ran on," the governor said. "There are plenty of ads. Everybody knew what they were voting for. That's what I'm doing. If you look at what the federal government is doing it's the opposite of what we are doing here. We have a balanced budget. We are not increasing our debt. We're reducing taxes."
Scott went on to say a positive aspect of his term so far, is that unemployment has dropped every month. However, the state's unemployment rate is still more than a full point above the national average.
