Protestors Call for End to Death Penalty in Georgia

Protestors gathered outside the Georgia state Capitol Monday, calling for an end to the death penalty.

Georgia lawmakers met there for the first legislative session this year.

Speakers from the state NAACP and other organizations point to the high-profile execution of Troy Davis as a prime example of why the death penalty should be abolished.

Jobs and the economy are also on the agenda, as well as a controversial bill to allow permitted gun owners to carry weapons on college campuses.
